Indie strategy and cop-on-the-take simulator This Is The Police will be kicking in doors and roughing up wallets by the end of July, announces the latest trailer from Weappy.

The Kickstarted indie game from developer Weappy is being published by EuroVideo Medien and will release for PC through Steam and the champion DRM-slayer that is GOG.com. In the game we play as Police Chief Jack Boyd who is surprised to learn the corrupt mayor is retiring him early.

Jack Boyd is voiced by none other than Jon St. John (Duke Nukem) in what promises to be an adult-themed strategy adventure. We will be making the tough decisions for the city of Freeburg concerning her police force and the crime that plagues her.

Given how far and wide corruption has spread, Jack decides it's time to take something for himself and makes a goal of $500,000 in the six months he has left on the job. The choice we have is deciding how we go about doing that.

This Is The Police releases on PC July 28th.
