Techland has announced that The Following expansion for Dying Light will be accompanied by an Enhanced Edition update free to all current owners of the zombie slaying action game. They've been working on this "for the last half year".

For those who purchase the The Following - Enhanced Edition you get the new content as well as all previous DLCs and add-ons to-date. Otherwise those who already own the game can just buy it separately or through the Season Pass, which increases in price soon by $10. Already this game has enjoyed numerous free content updates.

"We didn’t want to follow a beaten track and just re-release our game in a new wrapping with the current DLC added on," explains Maciej Binkowski, lead game designer. “That’s why for the last half year we’ve been working on a ton of enhancements that we’re now going to make available to everyone. We’re adding bonus post-game content, a Nightmare difficulty level, nearly 100 new animations, new NPC models, advanced AI behaviors, and more. One year after the original release, Dying Light will be even bigger."

Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 February 9th, 2016.
