It's safe to say that a number of fans found Nintendo's digital E3 event to be somewhat disappointing. The show left such a bitter taste in one viewer's mouth that they rushed over to change.org to begin a petition, asking for the cancellation of Metroid Prime: Federation Force.

The petition calls Federation Force a "disgrace of a game with the name 'Metroid' slapped on the title" which some believe to be a fair assessment of the game. Many fans of the series immediately began noticing the likelihood that Federation Force was simply another project before receiving Metroid branding.

The petition has over 12,000 signatures towards its 15,000 signature goal after only two days of signing, it even has support from Dieter Bohn of The Verge who tweeted the above statement. As further evidence to the petition's claim, the Youtube trailer for Federation Force has almost 47,000 dislikes compared to 4800 likes.
