Twenty-three years after Army of Darkness ended Ash is back where he belongs, fighting deadites and quipping wise in the this first look behind the scenes of Ash Vs Evil Dead.
Like the creeping vines banging on the cabin shutters, evil is approaching and that means Ash isn’t too far behind, but that doesn’t means he’s changed: "He's selfish, lazy, but he's really good at fighting Deadites," says producer Rob Tapert.
Putting it bluntly, star Bruce Campbell adds: "The idiots are back in town," grins Campbell. "Ash has always kept the chainsaw - and the shotgun and the book - but it's been rusting on a shelf somewhere so he has to reactivate it..."
Confirming what you’d hoped all along, co-star Lucy Lawless adds: “Ash Vs. Evil Dead is a jolly splatter-fest.”
Original movie director Sam Raimi will oversee the series – as well as direct the pilot episode – with veteran TV directors Michael Hurst and Rick Jacobson (both of whom worked on Hercules, Xena and Spartacus).
