Dark Times Ahead for Caesar in New Trailer for War For The Planet of The Apes
Ever since the Earth was ravaged by a deadly virus, during which intelligence boosted apes attempted to live solitary lives alongside the last remaining humans – man had other ideas. Now with the planet caught in the iron grip of war, humanity will once again test the loyalty and honour of the apes in War For The Planet Of The Apes.
Directed and co-written by Matt Reeves – alongside Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes scribe Mark Bomback, War finds Caesar (Andy Serkis) dealing with tragedy and then hitting the road in search of a new home for his clan. The journey won’t be easy; he’s just broken the core tenet of Ape culture (“ape shall not kill ape”) by murdering Koba in the previous film, and, as man attempts to round on the fractious group, Caesar must confront a new, unethical threat: a commander known as The Colonel (Woody Harrelson).
It looks like the mantra “Apes. Stronger. Together” will really be tested when War For The Planet Of The Apes is unleashed in cinemas on the 14th July.
