Doctor Strange: Official Synopsis, Start of Production Announcement
It may have had its recent trip to Nepal plastered all over twitter before it’s return to the leafy suburbs of the UK but, only now, have Marvel released an official start of production announcement for Doctor Strange.
In doing so we’ve got an official synopsis plus confirmation that the film will also be shooting in New York and Hong Kong before calling a wrap on proceedings.
The official synopsis reads: “Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.”
So no surprises there then.
On top of that, the full lead cast has been confirmed. There aren't surprises here, but it's definite that it features Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton.
Scott Derrickson is directing the movie, that's due to be released in November 2017.
