New Maggie Trailer Hits; Schwarzenegger Struggles With Promises
Maggie is perhaps the most interesting zombie movie we've had in a while and seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger in a dramatic role is a welcome surprise.
The movie follows Arnold Schwarzenegger as he tries to protect his daughter Maggie, played by Abigail Breslin (Zombieland) in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Unfortunately, she's already infected and he's struggling to come to terms with the inevitable.
It's an interesting turn for Schwarzenegger, who is known for his action movies and shouty family-friendly comedies. Seeing him take on this emotionally complex role is new territory, but as we can see from the trailers he is absolutely nailing it.
Maggie is available now in the USA, but won't make it to the UK until July 24, so please no spoilers. Though I am taking bets on the film ending with an infected Schwarzenegger instructing someone to shoot him in the head, because otherwise he'll be back. If that's not how it ends, then they missed an opportunity. Check out the new trailer below:
