Rivals Hit the Road in New Cars 3 Trailer
It’s Rocky for the road as the latest trailer for Cars 3 as Lightning McQueen puts the pedal to the metal on the road to redemption.
This time around Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) realises that he isn’t getting any younger. He’s no longer the fastest around the track. As he ages, younger, faster challengers such as Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer) are overtaking him. And after a nasty crash, Lightning realises he must reevaluate his life and career.
Unwilling to give up the world of racing, he turns to Sterling (Nathan Fillion), a smart business type who runs a high-tech training spa for vehicles (sort of like Ivan Drago’s training camp then, I guess). There he meets his Mickey in the form of Cruz Ramirez (Christela Alonzo) and he starts to learn that if he can’t go faster, maybe he can outsmart his young rival.
Directed by Brian Fee, Cars 3 drives into US cinemas on 16 June and then travels to the UK on 14 July.
