Star Wars Battlefront 2 'A Year From Now,' "Deep And Engaging"
In other Star Wars news, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen has remarked the upcoming sequel to the recent reboot Star Wars Battlefront will be more "deep and engaging".
Exactly how that'll be accomplished remains a secret with developer DICE but they have already admitted Battlefront 2 will come with a single-player campaign.
Many were disappointed that the new Battlefront was completely devoid of a story campaign especially with how close and authentic DICE managed to capture the Star Wars universe in art and audio.
Co-op missions gave some story but these were isolated little skirmishes. The previous Battlefront games were developed by the now long defunct Pandemic Studios and their Star Wars: Battlefront II from 2005 included a story-based campaign focusing on the Empire's 501st Legion and featured a Galactic Conquest mode where as the Rebels/Empire or Republic/Separatists you could conquer the galaxy in a turn-based map and battle in space and on planets.
Space battles are another major contention with only recent DLC for the new Star Wars Battlefront taking the action between TIE Fighters and X-Wings into space.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 - or whatever they name it - is expected to release on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 by Fall 2017.
