Get Ready For Ant-Man With A Dozen New Images

Yes, folks, you've had enough time to watch and recover from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now, it's time to get ready for the long overdue Ant-Man. Marvel have got you covered with a host of new images you can check out below.

Ant-man has never been the most successful of heroes, but given his integral role it was inevitable he would show up in the MCU. After all, Ant-man was one of the founding members of the Avengers and the creator of Ultron in the comics. Of course, both of these events have already happened, so the timing makes a little less sense. Perhaps this is why Paul Rudd (Anchorman 2) is playing Scott Lang, the second Ant-man in the comics. Or maybe at this point Marvel are just seeing how far they can go before someone tells them to stop. Either way, I will be throwing my money at this movie, because they haven't reached that point yet.

The movie sees Rudd's Scott Lang as a down on his luck dad, with a bit of a problem for taking things that aren't his. He's rescued from jail by Hank Pym, Michael Douglas (Beyond the Reach), the creator of the Ant-man suit and it's amazing abilities. Superhero shenanigans ensue as Lang tries to defeat Corey Stoll (The Strain), who has built his own shrinking suit and become the villainous Yellowjacket.

Rounding out the cast are Evangeline Lily (The Hobbit Trilogy) as Hope Van Dyne, Hank Pym's daughter and possibly MCU's Wasp. Judy Greer (Archer) as Maggie, Lang's estranged wife. As well as cameos from John Slatterly (Mad Men) as the elder Howard Stark we see in Iron Man 2, as opposed to Dominic Cooper's version in Captain America and Agent Carter, and an appearance from Peggy Carter herself, Hayley Atwell.

Ant-man will appear on a big screen near you, probably making him appear normal size, on July 17.
