Minecraft Finally Comes To Wii U On December 17th
Forget the rumors; it's now official, after a long wait, Minecraft is finally coming to Wii U on December 17th.
Mojang made the "unexpected" news announcement in a new video (below) that also details that new combat updates are on their way, as well as fixes to in-game boats. Like other versions of Minecraft, the Wii U version will also receive a number of free and paid DLC packs in the near future. Off-TV play will also be supported, so you can continue playing on the Gamepad while someone else is using the television.
The game will be $29.99 on launch day on the Nintendo eShop and will come bundled with six of the most popular add-on packs, plus a festive mash-up just in time for the holidays.
