'Courage' is a gorgeous co-op puzzle game developed by 11 students from the University of Derby in 12 weeks under the objective of creating an Oculus Rift game based on the theme of 'escape'.

Currently, the game has a single chapter and will be available to download soon at no cost at all. As mentioned, the game features full Oculus Rift support, six key locations with five puzzles, wildlife and interactive world objects and two unique playable characters; Alex and Courage.

Alex, the protagonist and a young child, can use a slingshot to attack enemies or solve puzzles. She's able to pick up puzzle items but is easily frightened when being attacked by the spider enemies or separated from Courage, this results in a loss of Sanity (health).

Courage, a representation of Alex's inner courage, cannot interact with the physical world but instead can see spirit objects which are invisible to Alex. Courage can howl to reveal these objects, growl to stun enemies, jump and will change colour when Alex's sanity is depleting.

Also, the game features LAN or split-screen play and an original soundtrack to boot. Courage is currently up for 'Game of the Year' on CG Student Awards and has a beautiful trailer which you can check out below.
