The third-person sci-fi shooter Vanquish from PlatinumGames and SEGA will be coming to PC by the end of the month, having it consoles in 2010.

A future where the United States has constructed a fancy alternative energy space station - Providence - that feeds the nation with solar energy. The bad news is a Russian military coup leads to an invasion of the station and subsequent destruction of San Francisco.

Now the Order of the Russian Star demands the U.S. surrender before New York City is reduced to rubble using the Providence. As Sam Gideon we use a very state-of-the-art mechanical suit with experimental weaponry systems to retake the Providence and end the threat. The PC version features optimised graphics options, an unlocked framerate, a 4K resolution and full keyboard and mouse support.

"It was great to see the positive response from our community to the Bayonetta PC launch last month, and we are pleased that we are in a position to be able to announce Vanquish, another of our highly requested back catalogue titles,” said John Clark, Senior Vice President of Commercial Publishing for SEGA Europe. “There’s more to come from SEGA in this space, so stay tuned for further announcements.”

Vanquish releases on PC May 25th, 2017.
