First Look at The Han Solo Movie Cast
Han Solo? More like Han group of people, amirite?
Today we’ve got our first glimpse of the cast and directors of the as yet untitled standalone Han Solo movie.
It’s all aboard the Millennium Falcon for Alden Ehrenreich, who’ll play the titular smuggler made famous by professional grump Harrison Ford, Woody Harrelson, who’ll be playing a mentor figure Garris Shrike, Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge who’ll be playing a completely CGI character (rumoured to be the saga’s first female android), Emilia Clarke, Joonas Suotamoas as Chewbacca, Donald Glover as Lando and directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The one person from the announced cast not shown is Thandie Newton, who we assume is still busy in Westworld.
Making a brief accompanying statement, directors Chris Lord and Phil Miller said: “Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous. We can’t think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky."
The cameras have already begun to roll with production working from a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan.
The film is due for release on 25 May next year.
