Darksiders 3 'Leaked' By Amazon Listing, Play As FURY
Since the collapse of THQ and the end of Darksiders creator Vigil Games, the much loved action RPG franchise has been stuck in purgatory... or so it seemed.
A leaked product listing by retailer Amazon has spilled the beans of THQ Nordic's hopefully glorious return of the IP with Darksiders 3. Should the listing prove accurate then we play as another member of the Four Horsemen.
The original Darksiders featured WAR, with Darksiders 2 giving DEATH his chance but now Darksiders 3 will unleash FURY. She is a mage who wields a rather nasty looking whip and conjures up strong magic.
She travels to Earth in order to restore the balance between good and evil following the war that broke out between Heaven and Hell that decimated mankind. Gunfire Games are listed as the developer.
Amazon's leaked details of Darksiders 3:
• Play as FURY - a mage who must rely on her whip and magic to restore the balance between good and evil on Earth!
• Harness FURY's magic to unleash her various forms - each granting her access to new weapons, moves and traversal abilities
• Explore an open-ended, living, free-form game world in which FURY moves back and forth between environments to uncover secrets while advancing the story
• Defeat the Seven Deadly Sins and their servants who range from mystical creatures to degenerated beings
• Darksiders signature art style - expansive post-apocalyptic environments that take the player from the heights of heaven to the depths of hell, dilapidated by war and decay and overrun by nature
Darksiders 3 is in development for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Amazon also listed December 31st, 2018 as the release date but this is almost certainly a placeholder, with a late 2018 likely.
