Tyrese Gibson Will Return in Transformers: The Last Knight
Tyrese Gibson will be returning to the Transformers universe after posting an image of himself with Michael Bay from the set of Transformers: The Last Knight.
Gibson, who played Robert Epps in the first three Transformers movies alongside fellow returnee Josh Duhamel, announced his return via Instagram, was the Chief Master Sergeant and pal to Duhamel's William Lennox, who learned of the Transformers' existence in the first film and aided Optimus Prime and the rest in the subsequent films.
The pair were absent from Transformers: Age of Extinction (lucky them) so it will be interesting to see what the pair have been doing in the interim period…probably ‘making it rain’ explosions no doubt.
His involvement was confirmed by Entertainment Tonight who caught up with him at the BET Awards and said: “Let’s just say 2017, summertime, it’s going to be a lot of energy out there in the universe: Fast 8, Transformers 5.”
Gibson joins Mark Wahlberg, back himself from Extinction alongside new franchise acquisitions Anthony Hopkins, Isabela Moner and Laura Haddock.
The film, which Bay has been busy shooting will be in cinemas on June 23 next year.
