Kickstarter Game Zombie Playground Hitting Early Access Next Week
It's been two years since the Zombie Playground Kickstarter was launched but "the day has finally come", the game will be shuffling onto Steam Early Access to the public on July 28. Until recently, the game has been in a Backer-only beta programme.
The game, which is inspired by the above piece of artwork by Jason Chan, has the player take on the role of a child during a zombie apocalypse, as seen through the child's imagination. In terms of gameplay aspects, this means an online, team based action arena game with RPG elements.
Claiming to combine "childhood nostalgia with horrific monsters, visceral combat, and a unique atmosphere straight out of a child's nightmares", the game looks like great fun and, if you're interested, there's a wealth of behind-the-scenes development art.
The developers would like to take the title to Mac and Linux but, currently, it seems that Early Access will be limited to the PC. If you're interested, be sure to check out Steam on July 28 to take part.
