Ubisoft and South Park Digital Studios has confirmed that South Park: The Fractured But Whole has 'gone gold' and re-confirms it will but launching mid-October.

The RPG sequel is complete and has achieved its gold master version, which means it can now be pressed to disc for console versions. Mercifully this also means there's unlikely to be any more delays to the game's release.

In the latest trailer marking the occasion we see our South Park hero team up with a certain 'gay fish' to help his mother 'get into heaven'. We then see what appears to be a minigame that gets sped up of a flying unicorn with a rainbow coming out of its rear fly around obstacles.

This is a nod to a South Park episode that featured Kayne West who couldn't understand a 'fish sticks' joke and goes on a rampage before eventually going to live among the fish. Only in South Park.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 October 17th, 2017.
