Knocking twice on a witch's door is not recommended but people probably need to see a horror film called Don't Knock Twice for it to sink in.
By sheer coincidence there is a film called Don't Knock Twice and is coming out next month about this very issue. Thanks Hollywood. An official trailer has been released for the urban tale of a demonic witch, which stars Katee Sackhoff and Lucy Boynton as mother and daughter.
"Knock once to wake her from her bed, twice to raise her from the dead…” So goes a disturbing urban legend involving an abandoned house supposedly inhabited by a vengeful, child-stealing witch. When troubled teen Chloe (Lucy Boynton) raps at the door one night, she has no idea the horror she’s about to unleash."

There is in fact a virtual reality game in the works with the same name coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 early this year.
Don't Knock Twice releases in cinema and on video-on-demand February 3rd, 2017.
