Ash Speaks in New Ash Vs Evil Dead Teaser
Bruce Campbell is back baby! Ash Vs Evil Dead, the TV series that acts as a sequel to Army of Darkness and the preceding Evil Dead movies, has a new trailer out that basically serves as a checklist for all you could want from the Evil Dead.
Does it feature a chainsaw? You bet it does! Does it feature an enough blood to fill a paddling pool? Yep, there’s a lot of claret on show. Does it feature Ash himself? Well, not entirely but it is still pretty…’groovy’.
In the series, Campbell reprises his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.
Starring Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo and Jill Marie Jones, the first episode will be directed by Sam Raimi and co-written with his brother Ivan along and Tom Spezialy.
Ash Vs Evil Dead will air on Starz in the fall.
