Joining the already swelling ranks of X-Men: Dark Phoenix are Kota Eberhardt and Scott Shepherd even though production began late-June.

Staring alongside James McAvoy as Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Jessica Chastain as Empress Lilandra, and Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, the pair will join the second crack at adapting Chris Claremont’s Dark Phoenix saga, which will be directed by long-time franchise writer Simon Kinberg.

Eberhardt will play Luna – which is believed to be a codename. Based on a leaked character breakdown, Luna is described as “beautiful,” “intense,” “exudes a sense of power,” “slightly unhinged,” and “a commanding presence.”

Shephard is set to play Jean’s father: Dr. John Grey – who is only set to appear in flashback alongside Summer Fontana as a young Jean Grey.

Furthermore, Evan Jonigkeit and Gregg Lowe are said to be in negotiations with the studio to reprise their X-Men: Days of Future Past roles as Toad and Ink, respectively.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix will storm into cinemas on Nov 2, 2018.
