Releases.com Movie of the Month - May 2015
The month of May kicked off the summer movie haul early with fantastic titles that consistently had us on the edge of our seats and some that brought our favorite groups back together for a second adventure... So, which ones impressed us the most?
Here are the results...
RELEASE OF THE MONTH: MAD MAX: FURY ROAD
The hype for Mad Max: Fury Road was at an all-time high and with the help of some of the most explosive action sequences and crazy thrills, Fury Road pulled through and really impressed us all. Simply put, it was pure insanity and a movie we barely blinked during, in fear of possibly missing a beat. Plus, Tom Hardy was a fantastic pick to play Max!
RUNNER-UP: Avengers: Age of Ultron
Of course, we can't forget about our favorite superheroes. Age of Ultron improved on its predecessor in more ways than one: There was more action, more comedy, a fiercer villain, and more star power. Topping this Marvel blockbuster isn't going to be easy.
Honorable Mentions:
Pitch Perfect 2
They were certainly back pitches... and with a bang. Pitch Perfect 2 was a chick-flick that had us laughing throughout its duration. It was full of heart and had us rooting for its characters. We'll take Pitch Perfect 3 whenever it's ready.
Tomorrowland
We really enjoyed the latest adventure from Disney. Tomorrowland featured a great performance from George Clooney, was filmed with finesse by director Brad Bird, and had a few cool action sequences as well. And, we must say, that ending wrapped everything up so well.
