Oculus Touch Controller Available December 6th For $200

The pricing and release date for Oculus Rift's official wireless motion controller is finally announced and it'll cost your $200 this December for the privilege to wave your arms.

Pre-orders for the motion pads will commence October 10th and include the two Touch controllers, another sensor, a seconnect for Rock band VR as well as two games: VR Sports Challenge and Insomniac's The Unspoken.

Now that the pricing is locked down for the motion controllers it means that the 'total package' for Oculus Rift totals around $800. This puts it in direct competition with rival HTC Vive, which is argued to have some tech advantages over Oculus Rift.

To enjoy 360 degrees of fun with the Oculus Rift you must have 3 sensors with extras priced at $79, otherwise you're limited in play space. Frankly it's a bit of a mess on the Oculus Rift side of things with a staggered release for peripherals.

Oculus Touch releases December 6th, 2016.
