Ready Player One Casting Shortlist Unveiled
Casting news for Ready Player One as Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Ernest Cline’s ubernerdy book set in a future where knowledge of 80’s video games is a must, is starting to take shape.
So far, of the two main roles that need casting, we’ve not heard anything about Wade Watts, however, details have emerged of who’s in line to play Art3mis – with five names set to be in the running.
Of those five, three have been announced: Maleficent's Elle Fanning, Gone Girl's Lola Kirke, and Me and Earl And The Dying Girl's Olivia Cooke.
Spielberg is still working on his adaptation of The BFG (which is due next summer), so there’s no rush to pick the best of the bunch just yet.
Ready Player One is due in cinemas on December 15th 2017, after all.
