Will Smith in New Trailer For Fantasy Buddy Cop Thriller Bright
Melding fantasy and cop thriller via the medium of Will Smith, Bright is the latest film from Suicide Squad director David Ayer, and we’ve now got an extended peek in a brand-new trailer.
In a world where fantasy characters co-exist with humans albeit after decades of conflict, the story sees Will Smith's human officer Ward teamed with Joel Edgerton's orc Jakoby. Of course, in classic buddy cop shenanigans, Ward isn’t particularly thrilled by the arrangement. However, the partners are forced to work together more closely when a seemingly random call brings them into contact with something much more dangerous: a magical relic of those past wars, a weapon that could be devastating in the wrong hands.
With a script originating from Chronicle scribe Max Landis, Bright co-stars Lucy Fry, Noomi Rapace and Edgar Ramirez, the film will hit Netflix on 22 December.
