Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku! Release Date Confirmed
Feudal Japan in 8-bit form is coming west as NIS America announce the release window for Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku!, which is Spring 2017.
This action RPG is all a about helping souls with their unfinished business and that just so happens to involve dungeons teeming with traps and monsters all in a pixelated world.
Historians assure us it was actually like that in the Sengoku Era of Japan - honest.
"Set in Japan’s Sengoku Era, you wake up in the mysterious land of Arcanus Cella where the souls of the dead gather as they await reincarnation. However, some souls have unfinished business that needs to be settled before they can reincarnate. As the player, you will assist these souls by traveling to real-world locations in feudal Japan and fighting your way through dangerous dungeons filled with monsters and traps. "
This 8-bit RPG also supports multiplayer with 1 to 4 player co-op so you can dive into those dungeons together. Customisation is so crazy that you can edit things down to the pixel with an in-game editor. You might spend some time with it thanks to the game's beautifully crafted world.
