UK audiences will have to wait a little long to rendezvous with Agent Carter as the second series air date has been pushed back to January 28th.

The new 10-part season will now kick off on FOX UK nine days after the opening episode premieres on ABC in America. While that is a bit of a delay, she’ll still be journeying across the Atlantic much quicker than last year.

The full synopsis for the new series reads:

“Marvel’s Agent Carter returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new Atomic Age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home – and perhaps even a new love – she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect."

Joining Hayley Atwell will be Dominic Cooper’s Howard Stark, James D'Arcy's Jarvis and Enver Grokaj's Sousa. Season 2 will be adding Ken Marino (Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp) to the cast as a volatile mob boss who will assist Peggy’s adversaries.
