Dara O'Briain Hosting 'Go 8 Bit', Celebrities And Video Games Clash This Autumn
Do video games stir violence in society? Only one way to settle this question once and for all; pit celebrities against one another in a series of competitive gaming contests that rewards winners and mocks losers in a new TV show called Go 8 Bit.
Naturally Britain is the one to host such an important and scientifically equipped study and televise its results to the viewing public through Dave in a new six-part series. Comedian and avid gamer Dara O'Briain will be hosting Go 8 Bit and doing his best to stir competition between two celebrity guests as well as their team captains; comedians Steve McNeil and Sam Pamphilon, who created the live show of the same name in Edinburgh.

Each of the captains will guide their guests through five rounds of challenges that increasingly get competitive, hilarious and hopefully humiliating in defeat. What games are likely to make it into the contests? Everything, from classics like Pac-Man to modern youth-corrupters Grand Theft Auto and Fallout.
What's the show really going to be like? While production values are certainly going to enjoy a shot-in-the-arm, the overall spirit of the gaming showdown should remain and can be seen from the live shows of Go 8 Bit with team captains McNeil and Pamphilon.
Go 8 Bit, with host O'Briain, will be airing its six-part series on UK channel Dave beginning this autumn. Surely our streets will run red within mere hours of the first episode as frantic viewers desperately fight for experience points, raid locked cabinets for loot and fire tortoise shells from their cars.
