Sex And The City 3 'Not Happening' Confirms Sarah Jessica Parker

Anyone looking forward to more from the Sex and the City girls will be disappointed as Sarah Jessica Parker confirms the project has fell through.

Everything was more-or-less set to begin production for a third movie based off the hit TV show but events have conspired against it. This third film was said to be the 'last story' for the girls - Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha.

"It's over... we're not doing it," Parker told Extra in an interview. "We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It's not just disappointing that we don't get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie."

The film was said to have had the backing of all four main stars back in December with SJP offering a very optimistic message to fans of Sex and the City earlier in 2017: "It's in a warming drawer. It's never been a 'no'...it's always been an 'if' and 'when'. And that remains the question being asked by two very thoughtful people who are taking into very serious consideration those people who devoted a lot of time. We're not cavalier about the way we arrive at that decision."

Parker admits the second movie wasn't as good as it should have been, despite all the money it made. "I can see where we fell short on that movie, and I'm perfectly happy to say that publicly. I will say, I also understand how much friggin' money it made," she said.

For now Sex and the City 3 is a no-go but Hollywood has a fickle habit of reviving and killing projects.
