Daredevil Season 3 Rumoured to Begin Shooting This Year

Keeping it well on course for its 2018 release date, Charlie Cox has confirmed that the third season of Daredevil will begin filming this year.

During an interview with Boogaloo Radio (via Screen Rant), Daredevil himself Cox offered an update on Daredevil season 3, saying “I do that later in the year. We’ll go back and do that.” That suggests that the show’s third season will indeed be premiering on Netflix sometime next year.

As Netflix tends to drop every episode at once for streaming, it seems likely that the six to 8-month gap between filming, post-production and release would land the third series around March time – in a similar slot to Season 2 of Daredevil and Season 1 of Iron Fist.

However, with Jessica Jones Season 2 currently filming, it could be that which takes up this release slot with Daredevil moving to an August release date like The Defenders – with Luke Cage perhaps keeping the same fall release date for its second season, which we have to assume will also begin shooting this year too.

As for Daredevil Season 3, it looks like it will be dealing with the aftermath of The Defenders – so that could mean Madame Gao and the Hand will continue to be a problem, and it’s also a safe bet that Kingpin will be returning. Daredevil season 3 may even introduce another villain altogether, with the money being on Bullseye right now.
