A film adaptation of Christopher Pike’s 1993 sci-fi horror novel. The original book centers around a U.S. manned expedition to Mars which follows in the wake of a Russian one that went missing before them. Were they simply dead, or did something else happen to them? The terror starts long before any of them ever leave the ground as vivid nightmares and unexplainable dread of the ‘dead’ planet rise up. Dr. Lauren Wagner, an admired and respected member of the crew, hears voices inside entreating her to love them.
