Jacob Harlan is a family man who's life is turned upside down after a car accident kills his best friend and lands him in prison for manslaughter. Finding it difficult to adjust to prison life, Jacob initially joins a gang for protection, but soon finds himself in the midst of a prison riot - which extends his sentence. Ten years later, Jacob is released from prison. Gang leaders on the outside are soon using Jacob to plan a major crime in Southern California - and forcing him to work with rival gang members. Always under the watchful eye of his parole officer, Jacob must now decide his own fate.
