The story follows a passionate but dysfunctional married couple that devises a plan to rob a bank as a form of bloodthirsty marriage counseling. They try to make peace with the mystery of their relationship throughout the violent hostage situation, one discovered by a cop hostage negotiator who previously investigated a past related crime.
