Morris’s top-of-the-range early post-war offering combines the rounded main body styling of the Minor/Oxford MO with the long bonnet and upright grille of pre-war offerings. It’s not the most comfortable mix, but salvation lies in the straight-six engine that gives the car a decent turn of speed. The Six actually uses the MO’s body from the screen back, but with different front door pressings and a 13in longer wheelbase. It uses cam steering, which isn’t as good as the Oxford’s rack-and-pinion. Not made in great numbers and survivors are rare.
