Following the privateer success for Frazer Nash in the 1949 Le Mans 24 Hour race, the company produced its own version following on from the tradition first started with the 1932 TT Replica. The Le Mans was powered by a 1971cc straight-six BMW engine delivering a healthy 120bhp, and in the lightweight ‘High Speed’ body proved prodigiously quick. Like all Nashes the Le Mans Replica was completely hand-built, with the customer getting the final say on engine configuration and suspension set-up.
