FERRARI F40Classic Car
Built to celebrate Ferrari’s 40th birthday, the F40 is just the car for anyone who finds the 288 GTO a bit on the tame side. The spec of the two cars carries a similarity too: twin-turbocharged V8 engine and a composite body mounted on a spaceframe chassis. The difference is that the F40 has an extra 78bhp from its slightly larger engine, and in the search for lightness it offers even less in the way of content – not even carpets or door panels. But buyers loved it and Ferrari built almost three times as many as originally intended.
