A remake of Susanne Bier’s Oscar-nominated Danish film “After the Wedding” which starred Mads Mikkelsen. The new take follows the director of an Indian orphanage (Williams) on the verge of bankruptcy, who discovers that her organization is in the running to receive a large charitable donation from a wealthy American businesswoman (Moore). The orphanage owner is forced to travel to New York City, where she is confronted by a past she tried to forget.
