Nica Pierce has been confined to a mental institution for the past four years, accused of murdering several members of her family, a crime she denies committing. The psychiatrists there try to help her by giving her an old Good Guy doll. But the doll is actually possessed by the spirit of serial killer Charles Lee Ray, a.k.a "Chucky." As people in the mental institution are brutally murdered, Nica comes to believe Chucky is responsible. Now she has to find a way to stop the evil doll before she becomes its next victim.
