New Character Posters for Sherlock: The Abominable Bride
With the now customary, excruciating wait almost over for more Sherlock, US broadcaster PBS have decided to jog our memories with these new character posters of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock and Martin Freeman’s Dr Watson in The Abominable Bride.
This latest episode, written by show co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, works as a stand-alone Victorian Era set drama, and plunges our heroes into a seemingly supernatural case that requires their skills to be at full power.
Joining them, as per usual, are Una Stubbs’ Mrs. Hudson and Amanda Abbington’s Mary Morstan, AKA Mrs. Watson.
And the cast – though the others have yet to get their own posters – also features fellow regulars Rupert Graves, Louise Brealey and Jonathan Aris.
Finally, the one new face, obscured though it may be – to get her own image is the Bride herself, preferring to stay all covered up and mysterious for now.
The special will air on the BBC and PBS on January 1, after which broadcast we go back into waiting mode for the next series, not due until 2017…BOO!
