NieR: Automata Announced For PlayStation 4
NieR: Automata has been announced for the PlayStation 4 during Paris Games Week. It's an upcoming third-person action RPG from Square Enix and a follow-up to the 2010 cult hit NIER.
The original NIER was set in a crumbling world plagued by disease and dark, unrecognizable creatures. Players assumed the role of the unyielding protagonist NIER, and joined him on a quest to discover a cure for his daughter, who was infected with the Black Scrawl virus.
Automata tells a bit of a different story. This time around you'll play as 2B, a cold and level-headed android on a mission to take back Earth after it's been invaded by beings from another planet. If you were a fan of the original, you should be happy to hear that the key members of the creative team are back working on the sequel.
