Following on from last week’s reveal, a full promo video for Sam Smith’s James Bond theme, Writing’s on the Wall has been released.

The promo contains a few unseen snippets of the film including Monica Bellucci’s Lucia Sciarra – the recently widowed wife of a mob boss being stalked in picturesque Rome before locking lips with 007, a brief encounter between Daniel Craig’s Bond and Léa Seydoux’s Madeleine Swann on board a train and a lot of establishing shots of locations such as Mexico City, Rome and Austria.

Smith is the first male solo artist to nab the theme song since Tom Jones sang Thunderball in 1965. "This is one of the highlights of my career," said Smith. "I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line-up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it."

Singer-songwriter Smith has had a slew of awards since his debut release 'In the Lonely Hour' in May last year. He won the 2014 BRIT Critic's Choice Award and the BBC's Sound Of 2014 poll. He was nominated for six Grammys this year and won four. 'Writing's On The Wall' is co-written with his regular collaborator Jimmy Napes.

Spectre is released October 26th in the UK and November 6th elsewhere.
