Just a few weeks ago, IBM Japan announced work had commenced on a virtual reality project translating the virtual reality world of Reki Kawahara's Sword Art Online to our own in the form of Sword Art Online: The Beginning.

Controlled by moving your body as opposed to using a controller, series creator Reki Kawahara stated that it's "completely different from any game experience so far". Now, a very short clip has been released onto Youtube as Tokyo-based alpha testing begins today, running through to March 20.

As you can see, the game is in the very, very early stages but we're still quite excited. IBM Japan has stated that the game will be using next-generation systems such as the "Cognitive System" which is stated to support human decision-making, alongside IBM's cloud system "SoftLayer".

We're likely to hear more about the project as the alpha testing finishes up next week, what are your thoughts?
