Insomniac Games Reveal Ratchet And Clank PS4 Retail Cover, A "Reimagination Of The Original"
The PlayStation 4 crowd is soon to get Ratchet and Clank in a 'reimagined' form. Insomniac Games has teased the official retail cover for the game, that's based on the movie, based on the game.
This retelling off the very first Ratchet and Clank adventure runs parallel to the animated movie, which of course features the series' long-time voice talent; James Arnold Taylor (Ratchet), David Kaye (Clank) and Jim Ward (Captain Qwark).
"Ratchet and Clank tells the story of two unlikely heroes as they struggle to stop a vile alien named Chairman Drek from destroying every planet in the Solana Galaxy. When the two stumble upon a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets, they must join forces with a team of colorful heroes called The Galactic Rangers in order to save the galaxy. Along the way they'll learn about heroism, friendship, and the importance of discovering one's own identity." - Ratchet and Clank movie plot
The game based on the movie, which as mentioned is based on the game, alters its events a little to match the big Hollywood retelling more closely, which also stars Rosario Dawson, Bella Thorne, Sylvester Stallone, John Goodman and Paul Giamatti. It's also giving PS4 gamers the chance to jump into the series' origins and for fans to return to them.

Join Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark and new friends as they battle to save the Solana Galaxy from the evil Chairman Drek," reads the PS4 cover art, tweeted by Insomniac.
The cover confirms it's a single-player affair with no multiplayer like the more recent additions from Insomniac Games, and that it floats around the 28GB mark in size. It also supports Remote Play which is great as just yesterday the new 3.50 PlayStation 4 firmware update now includes PC and Mac.
The Ratchet and Clank movie hits cinemas at the end of the month in the US and Europe, with the Ratch and Clank game releasing on PlayStation 4 next week on April 12th in North America, April 20th in Europe and April 22nd in the UK.
