Assassin's Creed Movie Has Taken "Last Shot"

Ubisoft's action adventure murder-spree series Assassin's Creed is stalking the rooftops en route to theatres, and according to head of content Azaïzia Aymar, the movie has taken it's "last shot" which means it's ready for post-production magic.

The adaptation to the big silver screen features Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch, who is his present-day character before entering the animus to assume control of his ancestor Aguilar. That's how the Assassin's Creed franchise roles. The movie also stars Marion Cotillard, Brendan Gleeson and Jeremy Irons.

"Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day."

Fighting the Templar in present day is something Ubisoft has teased and even let players do a little of throughout the slow build in the franchise, most notably throughout Desmond Miles story arc.

Assassin's Creed will be in cinema December 21st in the US, December 30th in the UK.
