Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters Trailer
Colossal Order has released a new trailer for the upcoming Natural Disasters expansion to Cities: Skylines, and finally reveals the tornado in full swing.
Already the meteor strike has been widely abused by the studio as they show off the calamities that now threaten to befall mayors and their urban creations. Tsunamis will drench everything and bob cars along its waves down streets, and now a tornado can be seen in-game roaring through city intersections and flying cars and animals like kites.
Fires are a major thorn in the side too with forest fires and the deadly flames able to spread building-to-building if you're not quick enough. Helicopters join the fight against crime, fire and accidents. To help keep the people calm there's a new big radio station to be built that'll pump out the tunes or the 'we didn't need that district anyway' propaganda. Fallout shelters and the disaster relief centre are also available to save the people from the wrath of nature.
A new free Scenario Editor update will join the expansion letting us create our own win/lose challenges, or to just see how long you can survive as natural disasters just keep pounding the map. These will be shareable via the Steam Workshop.
Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters releases on PC later this year.
