LEGO Dimensions Goes Open-World and Gets Ghostbusters Level
LEGO Dimensions will be getting a handful of open-world levels in the form of Adventure Worlds, according to publisher Warner Bros. Games. These Adventure Worlds will be separate from the main story of the game, unlocked by figures from different franchises.
In total, there will be 14 different Adventure Worlds with three currently confirmed; DC Comics (unlocked by LEGO Batman), The Lord of the Rings (unlocked by LEGO Gandalf), and The LEGO Movie (unlocked by Wyldstyle). You'll be able to stick any of your LEGO Dimensions character into any Adventure World, even if they don't belong to the same franchise.
A trailer featuring the Adventure Worlds has also been released, featuring Joel McHale as the game's robot guide X-PO.
As for Ghostbusters, the Level Pack will include an adorable little Peter Venkman while the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer will be available as Fun Packs.
LEGO Dimensions launches September 27 in the US, and September 29 in Europe, on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as Wii U.
