Arnie Says Twins Sequel Triplets Is Still Happening

The sequel to the 1988 comedy Twins has been in development hell over at Universal for some time, and prospects of ever seeing it were growing thin. Yet, here comes Arnold Schwarzenegger to say Triplets is still very much going to happen. I suppose a sequel is better than a pointless remake, right? Ah yes, thank you Dumb and Dumber To, for reminding me not to get my hopes up.

In an interview with Howard Stern, Schwarzenegger confirmed "We are talking about a sequel, where we find out at the funeral of our mother, when we read the will, that there’s three of us...Eddie Murphy loves the idea. Danny DeVito and I had lunch with Eddie Murphy over at my house, and talked about the thing, and we were laughing and laughing the whole meal through because it was such a funny idea".

So, not only is the movie still on, the old stories are true and sticking firm that Eddie Murphy will be playing Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito's other brother. Now, we still don't have any official word from the studio that Triplets is going to be made any time soon, or at all, but it seems such an announcement may be not too far away.
