Pillars Of Eternity: Complete Edition Announced For Consoles
Obsidian Entertainment's classic RPG Pillars of Eternity is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as a Complete Edition including The White March expansion.
What began as a humble yet ambitious crowdfunding campaign for a classic RPG titled 'Project Eternity' came a watershed moment for platforms like Kickstarter as it raised an awe-inspiring $3.9 million from almost 74,000 backers.
The game expanded beyond its original scope to include a second large city, a player stronghold, more character classes, additional companions and a crafting system. Eventually The White Marches expansion was released directly into the main campaign and was split between two Acts.
The Complete Edition for the consoles will include The White March add-on which includes a whole new area and a major chain of events. Currently Obsidian Entertainment is developing the sequel Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire following another successful campaign, surpassing $4.4 million.
Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition releases on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 August 29th, 2017.
