Konami Unofficially Addresses AAA-Development Rumours
It is still undecided whether or not Konami will be leaving the world of AAA-development (barring Pro Evolution Soccer) as an official statement has not been released. However, Konami employees are certainly not impressed.
A user in the Reddit community for Metal Gear Solid opened up a support ticket in order to ask the representative whether or not the series will continue. In a timely fashion, an email was returned stating "I can promise you that we’re definitely not leaving Metal Gear behind or anything like that. I know some blogs were claiming that online this morning, but I’m not really sure where they’d be getting that from."
"We’re still definitely working on console games and franchises such as Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Castlevania, PES and all the rest," the representative continued. While we're pleased to hear this, Konami have yet to confirm it themselves and a customer service representative may not be the most accurate port of call.
Elsewhere online Konami Europe's Communication Manager, Su-Yina Farmer, tweeted the following messages:
