Like things wot-go-fast? Ubisoft's racer The Crew is entirely free to grab and keep through Uplay right now as part of the publisher's 30th Anniversary celebrations.

There's no tricks here. The game is actually free to keep until a cyberpunk dystopia annihilates all our digital game licesnes, or something. It's part of seven games that Ubisoft is giving away for a limited time to mark 30 years of the company.

"To celebrate Ubisoft's 30th anniversary, The Ubisoft Club is offering you seven digital PC games. Every month a new game will be revealed and free to download. Then it is yours to keep! Hurry up, the game is available for a limited time."

The Crew is a massively online racer that spans across the United States from coast to coast. Already Ubisoft has given away titles like Prince of Persia and the excellent platforming return of Rayman Origins.

The Crew released on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 back in December 2014. It's now up for grabs through the Uplay client for nothing.

Three more games will join the 30th Anniversary giveaway, but what will they be? Assassin's Creed is likely to be one of them. So far Ubisoft has chosen each of their big franchises to put forward a sacrificial offering, with The Crew the only 'odd' choice so far.

The other appearances could come from Driver, Tom Clancy's Something Something, Anno, Beyond Good & Evil, CSI (for trolling purposes), Far Cry, Might & Magic, Petz (more trolling), South Park (unlikely), The Settlers, Trials and many others.
